As the Research And Teaching Assistant for Agronomy department, I developed comprehensive wheat breeding project strategy, collaborating with a diverse team of professionals to enhance agronomic and physiological traits.The full scope of my responsibilities as a Research Assistant included experimental design, greenhouse crossing, managing multi-location field trials, phenotyping, data collection, data analysis, genotyping and genomic analysis. Key milestone s included 5+ scientific publications and being awarded Paul Robin Harris Memorial Scholarship and UF Graduate Student Council Grant.My responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant included grading assignments and part-time lecturing 200+ students in Genetics (AGR3303 ) course and supervising undergraduate students for completing their capstone project.

I was specifically hired to develop and implement a robust and efficient plant disease phenotyping assay that detects the effect of spraying low-dose fungicide on fungal and oomycete pathogens (fungicides hormesis) and utilize the protocol to improve integrated pest management and disease resistance. Completion of this project resulted in 3 peer-reviewed publications.Other responsibilities included > Executing efficient efficacy studies in the greenhouse, growth rooms, and laboratory, analyze data, prepare summary reports, and present results> Effectively supervising undergraduates and visiting scientists in their projects
