Empowered by distinctive ideals built on integrity, diversity and ingenuity – The Creative Labs Learning Center was born after extensive research, planning and field experience to be like no one of its kind!My introduction into the childcare industry began during my college days at New York University (NYU) in 2002. My Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education was what sparked the onset of this journey through a lifelong learning for working with children of all ages. Over time, the arrival of my own children and my move to Atlanta, GA increased the passion and dream for making a nurturing environment for education. The overwhelming support for my enthusiastic and unconventional approach, partnered with my excitement for the Montessori philosophy, fueled the birth of Creative Labs. My education and experience as a teacher, administrator and principal of (public, private, religious) schools throughout Fulton and Forsyth county in Atlanta made me stay steadfast in achieving my goals.I like getting people excited about the things I’m excited about to help them achieve success! • Increased 150% enrollment to reach the record high mark • Established and collaborated with Education, Marketing and Enrollment Committee members for school events, goals and future prospects to supplement the school program• Standardized test results increased to as high as 99% for students • Record high completion of curriculum plus further above and beyond coverage with management techniques introduced • Served as chief administrator of school in developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum activities and budgets in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and professional development of each staff member• Improved classroom environment by introducing an emphasis on new technology, including smartboard APPs, internet – based programs such as iXL, Mcgraw Hill’s Connect ED and student tablets • Ensured that the school program is compatible with the Georgia Common Core Standards for efficient teaching to ensure well-balanced standardized testing scores • Created and implemented Professional Development Plans for all staff members to include seminars, PLU courses and educational conferences that improve teaching standards and best practices • Provided cognitive coaching and mentoring to all teachers for continuous improvement in student ITBS scores and overall student performance • Implemented and monitored curriculum changes including evaluating and updating textbook publishers, researching and registering for online programs, and selecting supplemental materials such as educational magazines and libraries
