Deaths of despair and suffering, such as suicide, are sometimes more acute in places with limited mental health access, especially in health resource-depleted areas, such as the Florida Keys.My dissertation research and collaboration with the Fla. Dept. of Health in Monroe County (Florida Keys) was featured on radio and web through Miami’s WLRN. The Suicide Prevention Resource Center then picked up the article and featured it in their weekly national news blast, SPARK.
