Summer is an Anishinaabekwe creative at heart, who is passionate about justice for Indigenous peoples, art, podcasting, writing, culture, law, and the land (mother earth). They have worked with various Indigenous organizations and mostly focus in areas such as communications, events, youth outreach, wellness, planning, admin, trauma-informed facilitation, and research. Currently she is attending The University of Victoria as a 2L for the Joint JD/JID law program with hopes to continue to revitalize Indigenous laws in the foreseeable future. Extension of her volunteer work and experiences have allowed her to be voice on two boards this year. One with West Coast Climate Action Network with focus on Indigenous engagement building, and as UVIC's Indigenous Law Student Association's representative for The Environmental Law Centre board.
