I'm a passionate explorer of numbers, armed with a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the Coast Guard Academy and a masters degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics from the University of Washington. My academic journey has been a rollercoaster ride - challenging, yet immensely rewarding.I spent five thrilling years as an active-duty officer in the Coast Guard. Two of those were spent on a 210-foot cutter training a 75 person crew and learning about engineering and machinery. I then spent three years at a district office, briefing leadership on dynamic and complex illegal fishing, migrant, and drug cases. Those experiences taught me so much about leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. In my free time I love to crochet, read, and travel. I'm eager to connect with fellow data enthusiasts and explore new opportunities in data science where I can combine my technical skill and love for problem solving to make positive changes in the world!
