As LTE Coordinator for the WDNR I provide human resources consultation and assistance to DNR employees, supervisors, managers, and the general public ensuring the fair and consistent implementation of human resources policies and practices related to the hiring of permanent (FTE), project, and Limited Term employees (LTE). I serve as the statewide LTE Recruitment Coordinator for the DNR’s nearly 1,500 limited term employees. This involves coordinating duties related to recruitment, staffing, classification and compensation matters. I also serve as the Lead Worker to HR Assistants within the Bureau of Human Resources, collaborating and coordinating to ensure work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

A Human Resources Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting other professional HR staff within the Bureau of Human Resources. Duties include clerical and administrative work in support of staffing, classification and compensation activities. Responsibilities include assisting HR Specialists with the preparation of recruitment screening materials, job postings, coordinating interviews, reference and background checks. Key tasks also include maintaining and auditing personnel and recruitment files. Coordinating new employee on-boarding is an essential job in order to ensure an easy and successful transition into employment with the Department of Natural Resources. Overall, a Human Resources Assistant must provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients.

Receive and document information from the public on the DNR TIPLINE regarding potential violations of natural resources, environmental protection or recreational vehicle safety laws. Dispatch information to wardens for follow-up. Assist in the coordination of law enforcement efforts in response to wild land fires, spills, floods, tornadoes or other emergencies. Represent the Bureaus of Customer Service and Licensing, Wildlife Management, Fisheries Management, Parks and Recreation and Enforcement in issuing hunting and fishing licenses. Provide information and interpret rules, regulations, and laws that govern hunting, fishing, and the operation of recreational vehicles in Wisconsin. As a multi-program representative for the Department, Serve as a primary point of contact for analyzing and responding to customer needs.

Working as a Visitor Services Associate for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources at Interstate Park, I have a variety of responsibilities and duties. These responsibilities include greeting customers as they enter the park, performing cash/check/credit transactions, answering the telephone in a professional manner, performing online reservations for camping, providing information about the park and other Wisconsin State Parks, as well as counting the cash and processing the transactions performed that business day and completing a remittance ensuring all were performed correctly. Many times you are working with other employees and performing as a team in order to help the customers in the most efficient manner possible. As a teller at Eagle Valley Bank I was responsible for handling customer transactions, including taking deposits, disbursing cash, issuing cashier's checks, assisting in opening and closing accounts, as well as investigating fees. These transactions are all processed using adding machines, printers and computer systems, giving me a vast and in depth background with these products and skills. As a teller I was also responsible for validating deposit and withdrawal slips, as well as the customer themselves with proper photo identification. Tellers are also responsible for assisting the customers over the telephone, in the lobby and as well as at the drive-through window, always being sure to greet customers warmly and direct them to appropriate bank personnel. With many options and services available at Eagle Valley Bank, I also had the duty of promoting bank products to both customers and non-customers.
