As an English Language Assistant I had many roles within the school. My first priorities were to work with students on their english pronunciation, spelling, and grammar. Additional responsibilities were to assist with field trips, compile lesson plans, and provide an American perspective on issues.

Working in a busy congressional office was a great learning experience for someone looking to join the professional workforce. A large part of my role consisted of answering phones, talking to constituents, filing paperwork, and handling confidential documents.

While working at the REEF, I was able to interact with many of my peers that were actively involved in scientific research at UCSB. A huge part of my role as a student intern was to work with my peers to create programs to teach students of all ages about science, with an emphasis on local topography and organisms. Working at the REEF was an incredible experience and I truly valued my time spent with the individuals there.

I had the opportunity to intern for Supervisor Dennis Rodoni, the district 5 supervisor for the County of Marin. While working for his office, I helped them establish contact filing systems, assisted with community events and office hours, participated in meetings with community stakeholders, and provided general office assistance.

Working at Cowgirl Creamery, I had the opportunity to learn how to contribute as an effective team member in a fast paced, customer service focused industry. I returned for multiple summers to work behind the counters and reconnect with community members.

Assisted members in the department with their work by completing projects and organizing files.

Kept control over 15+ children and took them hiking, taught them arts and cooking skills.
