I am currently a senior at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign studying food science. I love learning about food safety, chemistry, and microbiology and want to help create a sustainable and safe food supply for the global population. At school, I enjoy being the President of the Illini Equestrians, an Undergraduate research assistant for both Dr. Prescott and Dr. De Mejia's Labs, and the Program Assistant for the on-campus Instructional Kitchen. Additionally, I am an active member of several honors groups on campus including the Chancellor scholar and James scholar programs. I am very hard-working and have lots of experience working with others. I enjoy teaching, a skill I have developed by instructing horseback riding lessons, classes, and trail rides. I am always ready for a challenge and learning something new!
