As Directions for Living's Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development, I serve in one of the top seven leadership positions in the growing, 420+-employee agency, and my department is responsible for grant writing, large-scale event planning, fundraising, graphic design, and community and media relations.One of the biggest initiatives I have driven in this role thus far is the creation and management of the wildly popular annual fundraiser, the PB&J Run. Our 2018 PB&J Run saw 120% growth in participants year-over-year, a sold out race, $50,000 raised for the children we serve, and runners from 5 other countries and 12 other states participating and boosting our Tampa Bay economy through tourism. Other examples of work in this role include:-Leading our agency expansion into Hillsborough County by overseeing our application through a competitive bid process. DFL was the sole awardee, earning a multi-million dollar contract which resulted in 120 new jobs, a new 30,000 sq. ft. facility, and 1,300 more children served by DFL. -Securing $80,000 in sponsorships and donor support annually-Overseeing an average of $3.5 million in new grant funding awarded annually-Facilitated more than 5,000 in-kind donation items of food, toys, home goods, and more annually for our clients, valuing more than $2 million

I am proud to oversee the fundraising, media and community relations, and marketing efforts for Directions for Living while utilizing my background in broadcast news, entertainment, and website production in combination with my passion for helping the clients we serve.I plan corporate events and fundraisers, research and write grants to secure funding for our agency's programs, communicate our latest news to local media outlets and the community, and find innovative ways to market our behavioral healthcare and child safety initiatives.
