Our pilot programs indicated that Live Online MBSR is an excellent alternative to in-person courses and even offers additional benefits. Students participate in the privacy of their home or office avoiding commutes and able to continue attending while traveling for pleasure or business. The format is designed to feature small groups, fellow student support, and continued community. Students are led by our CERTIFIED MBSR teachers. In 2021 we implemented an instructor training program. ​Students also partner with us to develop and adapt the program as they discover the skills to manage stress, becoming more engaged in their life through better awareness. We teach the skills to tap into the power of the mind/body connection and effectively respond to stress and anxiety. While our students participate in their own health and emotional wellbeing, they discover their inner ability to grow, practice self-care within a supportive community, and start developing resiliency in the face of adversity. The Fog Fest was created in 1986 to promote Pacifica. It features 3 music stages with a large variety of amazing musicians and host over 200 fabulous arts and crafts booths while more than 40 community groups participate. Our family of 4 packed up all our belongings in the Spring of 2003 and took off to Australia to start a 2-year sailing adventure. We homeschooled our children (age 8 and 11 at the start of the trip) and together saw the world in new ways.

Main responsibilities consisted of assisting the Director with day-to-day operations at this 70 family-strong school and managing the pre-K program. Additionally, I designed and implemented new curriculum elements in the overall program and developed a new curriculum for the pre-K classes.

During these 3 years as president of the board I worked closely with the director on logistical, organizational, and financial affairs, and facilitated crisis intervention. I chaired board meetings and the business portion of the monthly Parent Education meetings.
