Children’S Services Social Services Supervisor Ii
Current- Plans, assigns, and directs the work of a unit of professionally trained Social Services Practitioners performing difficult or complex casework in such areas as investigative and protective interventions, Riverside County Juvenile Court involvement, and out of home placements. - Assists in the development of community resources for all programs; and assists and participates in the development of in service training and staff development programs. - May direct the work of social services practitioners and related support staff performing consistent services to children and their families.- Makes and/or reviews decisions on difficult casework matters involving the casework being performed under direct supervision.- Evaluates the effectiveness of policies and procedures aligning with child safety, permanency, and overall well-being of children and their families.- Provide direct research studies and prepare reports to the Riverside County Juvenile Court for further investigation and oversight for children and their families. - Frequently conducts field visits with staff members and attend meetings and trainings related to child safety and multidisciplinary collaboration. - Utilizes a centralized database to review work, assign cases, approve various case actions, etc.
