Mr. Summers has held various senior management positions in engineering, manufacturing and marketing and founded three high technology litigation support companies. In addition to Industry Operations, marketing and Engineering management experience, Mr. Summers has extensive experience in high technology intellectual property asset management, expert witness testimony for IP and technology disputes, ADR for high technology cases and legal consulting for complex technologies. Mr. Summers holds two patents and has published numerous articles and lectured on semiconductor applications and technologies, litigation and ADR in high technology disputes and IP Licensing. He is a former member of IEEE, Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi, and the Executive Licensing Society. He received his BSEE and MSEE degrees from the University of Houston in 1969 and 1970, respectively.

Censtor’s primary product development focus was in the microflexture suspension and head technology areas. The majority of Censtor’s assets, except for the IP, were sold to Read-Rite Corporation in 1996. Mr. Summers joined Censtor as a consultant in 1997, became a Board member in 1998 and was elected as Board Chairman in 1999. Mr. Summers licensed Censtor's patents to the Disk Drive Industry and subsequently sold the remaining assets (36+ patents) to Seagate Technologies Corporation in 2003.

Mr. Summers founded Teklicon in 1986 and subsequently sold it to FTI Corporation in 1996. He remained as CEO and President until 1997. Vice President And General Manager Atari, Semiconductor Division
Joined Atari as a consultant to the CEO. Prepared a business plan for an automated "Chip-on-Board" factory aimed at reducing the cost of DIP memory components used in video game cartridges. Wrote the business plan for Atari’s Semiconductor Division, and was hired as Vice President and General Manager for this division with the responsibility to carry-out and implement the new venture.The Atari Semiconductor Division was responsible for design, test, and manufacturing of all LSI/VLSI components used by the Warner Companies, including DRAM’s, SRAM’s, ROM’s, EPROM’s, Microprocessors and Logic Circuits. Mr. Summers constructed the Atari Design Center; supervised 68 design engineers and designed 25 custom ASIC designs with gate arrays, standard cells and custom methodologies. Mr. Summers was also responsible for management of the Atari circuit test center, with 50 employees testing over 100,000,000 IC devices per year. Hardware used in these centers were Calma GDS II Workstations, Daisy and Mentor workstations, Fairchild Sentry VII/VIII testers, Megatest testers, XINCOM testers and VAX 780-785's mainframes. During Mr. Summers tenure he joint ventured a standard cell program with RCA, co-sponsored the OTP EPROM with Intel, and supervised the design of a fully operational silicon compiler system in 3 micron CMOS. His division cost reduced memory and logic components and supervised the design of new packages for memory and ASIC devices.
Vice President Engineering, Computer Systems Group
Vice President of Engineering and responsible for the design, development and production engineering of Commodore's 8032 CPU and 8050 dual disk unit. In 1979, this system was one of the first PC’s produced prior to IBM and Apple introductions. Manufacturing and design projects included test equipment, PCB's, CPU's, disk units, printers, power supplies, burn-in racks, CRT's and IC's. Development efforts included several dot matrix printers, disk operating software (DOS) and business application software. Mr. Summers was subsequently promoted to Senior Group Vice President and responsible for world wide operations of Commodore’s Semiconductor Group. Products included, CMOS, NMOS and LCD technologies for microprocessor, memory and I/O logic, and watch displays in four separate factory locations; Valley Forge, Dallas, Hong Kong, and Costa Mesa. The Semiconductor business unit generated $38M in revenue the first operating year.
World-Wide Director Of Marketing, Microprocessor Division
Responsible for world wide marketing and application engineering of all microprocessor products, including the 6800, 6805, 6809, 6801, 68701 and 68000 product families with a staff of 40 professionals. Mr. Summers was responsible for the original marketing and strategy of the 6809, 6805and 68000 product lines. He personally launched and conceived the 6805 family in 1978. Mr. Summers presented numerous microchip seminars to hundreds of Motorola customers throughout the country and co-authored the first paper on Motorola's 68000 Microprocessor.
