The Production Team Leader is required to manage the day to day operations in Rugby Cement Mill area (including loading points, clinker export and extraction from the clinker dome) adhering to procedures and policies, ensuring successful stable running of the Cement Mill area and compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and to meet safety, customer service, environmental, quality and production standards and allocate human resources accordingly. Ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained at all times during the shift.- Ensure stocks are sufficiently maintained and readily available for customers- Ensuring right quality of the final product during the shift. Ensure any deviations are identified, reported on the Team Leader report and escalated as per procedures- Ensuring safe, continuous and steady operation of the machinery in conjunction with the specification of the product in every stage of the process in terms of volume, quality and time- Ensure proper investigation of mill stops in order to avoid repetitions and potential damage to equipment- Ensure completion of production tasks in maintenance days- Understanding of KPIs- Ensuring correct housekeeping standards are maintained in the cement mills area at all times- Manage and supervise any contract labour working within the cement mills area on a day to day basis to ensure safe and efficient operation- Generate ideas for further improvements in cement mills performance and area appearance

Responsible for managing the operation of the Raw Mills at South Ferriby Cement Plant. My role involved:Scheduling run time and liaising with the Maintenance department to plan down time to allow for routine and emergency maintenance.Responsible for Health and Safety and Housekeeping management.Placing weekly raw material orders.Process optimisation including routine internal inspections.Ensuring operation meets quality targets whilst also meeting environmental standards.

Cement manufacturing process training programme. I have worked on process optimisation projects, including with alternative fuels, and completed a project which has made a significant saving for Cemex UK. The opportunity has given me valuable people management skills and an insight into the cement industry.
