Leading the India business of Sonata Software Ltd. Also serving as Whole time Director and Member of the Board of Sonata Information Technology Ltd.(SITL; the Indian subsidiary of Sonata Software Ltd) for more than last 12 years.Sonata's India business profile has changed considerably since I joined in 1991. Which was primarily a software distribution business then, has since evolved today to that of a Digital Infrastructure Partner. Currently this is a Rs 1700 Crs revenue operation. The opportunity to observe this change at close quarters and to have participated actively in this growth for almost three decades has been extremely rewarding. It has given me a unique and intimate understanding of building, managing & growing successful businesses. My industry experience spans over 28 years; including 16 years in business leadership roles; encompassing general management, planning & execution of business strategies, setting up & managing diverse teams, handling legal, statutory authorities & policies associated with business. In my current role, I am responsible for providing leadership & strategic direction to Sonata’s India business, right from managing P&L & working capital, strategic planning & execution, business development, business growth engines, all operational aspects, marketing and brand building for the group. I also focus on successfully driving the group's business transformation initiatives and other key initiatives in the areas of; new businesses, enduring customer relationships, new markets & better profitability. Building mutually beneficial relationships with existing and new customers is a key objective for me. This is to ensure that Sonata always delivers the best value and becomes an integral partner in its customers’ digital transformation journeys.
