As we move forward in the twenty first century, we have witnessed the growth of Artificial Intelligence greater than ever. From handwriting recognition to humanoid robots, there are numerous fields on which extensive researches are being carried out. However, there are seldom many applications of AI in the field of community evaluation.Community evaluation has numerous applications in the field of city planning, development tracking, and city management and city operations. It is very important tool for analyzing the society and take steps in improving the conditions of the area. Therefore, I research ways of automatically evaluating a community based on both the textual and visual features.Some of the tasks I have carried out are:# Collected, Validated and cleansed data from Google Street-view images to Zillow API and mapped them together.# Engineered visual features from the images and performed pixel-wise segmentation using Deep-Learning framework – Caffe (using GPUs), to predict the “Living index Score” for a given neighborhood.# Built predictive models based on machine learning algorithms like SVM, Logistic regression, Neural Network, Gradient Descent, Trees, PCA etc.

# Simulated for drifter trajectory simulation for tracking instruments on ocean – a NSF funded project at SDSU# Developed a centralized web portal for ocean modelers that enable them to access all supercomputers remotely, under one application along with in-house job trackers, visualization and monitoring capabilities.

# Designed and implemented a solution for the R&D analytics team to leverage Data from the insulin pumps in a more elegant and faster way.# Modeled and developed a database to leverage the parallel computing infrastructure the team had to achieve around 4-x scaling.# Developed a job to automate the update of local database from the Main Database in the batches.

In the span of over two years I was exposed and given opportunity to work on many challenging projects with a very diverse requirements and working styles. I was lucky to get a team which motivated me to challenge myself everyday and perform better and better everyday. It was here I found the importance of working as team and the meaning of "Work hard and Party harder!". Across more than four different projects I have worked on, I was responsible for design, development and testing of analysis and reports. some of the work I have done here include.# Analyzed Web Logs using Big Data tools: Hive, Pig, AWS, Oozie to generate analysis 30% faster and 70% cheaper.# Led team of 5 for customer sentimental analysis efforts for a leading aviation firm using R, including Social media analysis that helped winning contract for the company. # Handled requirement gathering and developed Financial Reports for drill down, Time analysis, segmentation analysis.# Analyzed, remodeled, built and tested financial reports in SAP BPC EPM add-in for excel which enabled our client for the first time to have full control over the Multi-dimensional views on their finance data providing easier solutions# Designed, developed and upgraded the ETL and Reporting jobs in production environment and improved the performance of Reports by around 10%. (SAP BODS and BObj )# Monitored and ensured the working of critical financial data cubes deployed in Hyperion Essbase database.
