International Student Affairs: • Plan, organize, and direct student services for international students on F1 and J1 visa, including issuing a Form I-20/ DS-2019, SEVIS registration, visa advisement, academic counseling, career services, and cultural adjustment.• Plan, develop, and conduct workshops, open house, and orientations for international and veteran students. • Develop and implement international and veteran student policies and procedures and ensure institutional compliance with SEVIS regulations. • Provide leadership in international admissions, international student services, SEVIS management, and institutional compliance with SEVP, DHS, DoS, USCIS, and CBP. • Serve as the University’s official representative for SEVP and DoS and manage annual reports, compliance visits, program updates, SEVIS data management, and recertifications. • Collaborate with various offices across the campus, such as Provost’s Office, Compliance Office, Financial Aid, Bursar, Registrar, Admissions, and Academic Departments, in developing strategies to effectively serve international students.• Supervise and train International and Veteran Affairs staff, DSOs and International Admissions counselors.Veteran Student Affairs:• Provide leadership in all aspects of student services for veteran students and institutional compliance with VA.• Provide direct student assistance daily; process enrollment certifications, process VA billing and refunds; coordinate services with other departments and outside agencies; coordinate special programs; and develop and evaluate the programs. • Ensure consistency and compliance with university policies and procedures for veteran students.

SEVIS Compliance:Ensure implementation of SEVIS regulations and institutional compliance with Department of Homeland Security.Manage international student information in the school database system and in the SEVIS.Program and Policy Development: Develop and implemented international student policies and procedures on admissions, English proficiency, CPT, OPT, and SEVIS transfer.Create international student office website, international student handbook, and various information materials.Develop international student programs including orientation, employment workshop, and staff training. Student Advisement and Counseling: Advise students on F-1 and I-20 issues, school transfer, change of status, reinstatement, and work authorization.Serve as a mentor and advisor for international student organizations. International Admissions: Assist Admissions Office with international student recruitment, applications, and I-20 processes.Analyze and generate reports on international student admissions and retention.
