Primarily responsible for a team of three, in a pharmacy averaging 7000 items per month, however I was called upon to cover at the different branches in the company. One of these was dedicated to providing dosette boxes to all patients who required them across all branches. Key responsibilities as above and also included:-Ensuring efficient day to day running of pharmacy - by observing processes and having discussions with the team, I enforced changes in the pharmacy to help improve the workflow and reduce stress on the staff-Screening holiday requests, and liaising with senior staff in certain instances to ensure good staffing levels across all branches-Conduct regular safety reviews, involving the team, to ensure regular assessment of risks and promote ideas on improvements that can be made

Experience in independents, multiples and GP dispensaries as responsible pharmacist and second pharmacist, supporting teams of up to ten members. Key responsibilities include:-Clinical/legal screening and accuracy checking of prescriptions-Supervision of OTC advice and sales, as well as providing patients with advice on effects and management of medication-Collaborating with healthcare professionals where required to deliver high-quality care-Assisting with inventory - ensuring effective ordering of stock to minimise cost and maintain good supply-Additional services provided including: NMS, methadone dispensing and supervision, flu vaccine administration

Part of a team of seven dispensing an average of 13000 items per month, including over 20 methadone patients. I was involved in all aspects of the pharmacy, and my main responsibilities were dispensing and supervision of the methadone patients, as well as all CD entries and balance checks. I would practise WWHAM questioning and consulting with OTC patients, and shadowed during MUR/NMS consultations when possible. It was a very busy pharmacy where I quickly picked up and developed many of the skills I use to provide a good service.
