Hi, I’m Sunayana Rao, Founder and Principal Designer of Soul Space Design Studio. My career began in finance, but my heart was always drawn to interiors. In 2022, I made the bold decision to reignite my childhood passion and shift careers. That’s how Soul Space Design Studio was born.I started in Dubai and soon expanded to India, completing 30+ projects ranging from 500 sq ft compact apartments to 10,000 sq ft luxurious homes. What makes our journey truly special is the trust our clients place in us. Instead, we create spaces that tell a story—our clients’ stories. Provide recommendation on new business opportunities and contract negotiations with top customers to drive top line. 2.Forecast – Monthly, weekly and rest of the year forecast based on trend, seasonality, new business opportunities etc. Achieved forecast accuracy ( ± 5% ) consistently in the last 6 months.3.Business Planning –Handled business plan for all countries volume, revenue and expense for the last 3 years.4.Accounts Receivable - Periodic review, monitor and report AR status by country and ISMEA as a whole to management and corporate. Resolution of customer and agent disputes on timely basis to keep the collection healthy.5.Audit, Treasury and compliance – Quarterly audit of banking platforms and user entitlements to eliminate any risk, fraud or misappropriation of funds. Conduct period process audits assigned to ensure there are no gaps in the day to day business (AP, AR, Cash & Bank, and Records Management etc.)6.New entity Set up – Involved in setting up a fully owned UPS entity in MECA region. Supported in getting corporate approvals, preparing cash flow projection, setting up vendors, system approvals, preparing standard operating procedures.7.Accounting – Oversee monthly bookings are performed correctly, any errors are flagged immediately and resolved. Review out of period costs, non-recurring entries and its impacts.8.VAT – Process quarterly VAT filing for District HQ.9.Training – Train new hires/interns on the process, job responsibilities and systems.10.Process – Formulated SOPs for all finance and accounting processes in African countries like South Africa, Nigeria and Morocco. -
