Led the GD Systems team in identifying and defining the Software Defined Radio Joint Tactical Radio requirements with U.S. Govt and other partner companies Managed requirements, and identified the SW needs based on the Navy and Air force products. Provided the detailed SW plan to PM on time and within budget. Represented the GD team in several DoD proposal negotiations, generated ROMs, planned schedules for overall implementation. Provided weekly status update at the IPT meetings. Presented Waveform porting status at the Critical Design Review (CDR) for the military brass and other contractors. Delivered several Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) on-time and under budget.Led a team of 10 Systems engineers in the MUOSUE program (MUOS is DoD’s replacement for the ageing SATCOM satellites) in designing specific features using Rational Rose RT. Personally developed several parts of the Software Design Description (SDD) and Waveform Design Specification (WDS) for the MUOS UES Red side of the waveform. Developed message sequence charts for the messaging between the UES Red components and between Red and Black sides across the crypto. Conducted and developed a detailed market analysis for military radios in emerging markets for the Director of Strategy. Identified the current share of key competitors like Harris, Tadiran and Rockwell Collins with detailed competitor analysis (features, Gap Analysis, penetration and cost). Identified the radio requirements for the various services.Collaborated with a colleague and developed a product concept to protect and monitor oil & gas pipelines with wireless sensors (Internet of Things). Developed detailed market analysis, competitor analysis, and business case using GD Fortress LTE wireless products for the back haul. Product concept is under review.

Spearheaded a detailed study to identify impact of 4G WiMAX (802.16) and WEB 2.0 technology on handset sales in emerging markets. Made recommendations to management to take advantage of growth of rural India by delivering advertisement supported services to reduce TCO for rural customer.Produced user requirements for WiMAX based handsets for the technical marketing team using Use Cases. Derived user requirements for next generation mobile phone based on Windows Mobile 6.0 and minimized cost of development estimated at over $100K.
