Acting Mechanical Inspector
Current• Carry out first level and specific inspection of all plant equipment in all conditions (stoppage, running).• Ensure the planned inspection of all plant equipment and initiate work orders based on inspection results, including safety checks.• Monitor and co-ordinate condition predictions for all critical equipment.• Follow-up and update preventive maintenance schedule.• Contributes to the analysis of failures and problems, recommending corrective actions.• Tight co-ordination with maintenance execution (to get feed- back from maintenance tradesmen on equipment status).• Tight co-ordination with production (especially shifts and process) to get feed-back from operations on equipment conditions, equipment availability for maintenance inspection and production constraints.• Good co-ordination with planning/scheduling to ensure shutdowns is adequately planned with all required spares available.• Maintain in depth knowledge of the condition of all plant equipment on a continuous basis.• Evaluate and improve the preventive maintenance job plans, create and update the corresponding inspection sheets.• Participate in weekly planning /scheduling meetings as well as major shutdown meeting to coordinate jobs with other departments.• Participate in plant and department safety initiatives. Through inspection activities, drive safety improvement in the plant.• Ensure safe working condition of employees and equipment.
