Oversee the operations of all the department coordinators at the Cherry Hill Campus of Swedish Medical Center. Tasks involve tracking department coordinators to ensure all deadlines are met, facilitating relations between department coordinators and the Health Scholar interns, and providing support to department coordinators during counseling sessions. In addition to leadership team obligations, further executive team responsibilities include weekly meetings centered on program development and leadership accountability, extended office hours and training support. The executive teams also carries out the process of interviewing leadership team candidates and on-boarding new members.

Swedish Medical Center

Assist nurses with patient care tasks during rotations of various units in the hospital. Tasks include monitoring patient call lights, taking vital signs, patient ambulating, repositioning, feeding, and discharging. Departments I have volunteered on include the Short Stay Unit, Urology/Transplant Unit, Critical Care Unit, Emergency Department, and administration in clinical education. In addition to working shifts on unit floors, health scholars also spend their first three month rotation working in the front lobby of the hospital to guide and assist patients and visitors.

Oversee the Health Scholar volunteers working on the Acute Rehab unit of the Cherry Hill Campus. Tasks include scheduling shifts, counseling interns who have violated program policy, and review of Health Scholar performance through communication with unit staff.

Coordinated projects within the Health Scholar clinical internship program. Past projects included spearheading our programs fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and supervising health scholars working in the hospital lobby. This involved scheduling shifts, counseling interns, and overseeing health scholar relations between each other, hospital staff, and patients. The leadership team also works to conduct interviews and train incoming interns, as well as assist in running program meetings.
