For 12 years, I worked in broadcast news in and around Florida's Tampa Bay area and Raleigh, North Carolina and surrounding areas. Writing and reporting local, national and international news was an exciting and always changing field. I even won an Emmy Award in 2001!However, I wanted to expand on my communications and interpersonal skills. As a television news producer, I often found myself behind a desk and unable to interact with the public. My career as a spa owner gives me the best of both worlds. Although my days are usually spent in the office, I am fortunate and blessed to connect with wonderful people from all different walks of life. I get to visit with friends daily while providing pampering and beauty services. My spa, Adara, offers everything from massages, facials, waxing, manicures and pedicures. As a licensed esthetician and manicurist, I also provide hands-on skin care and body services. Plus, I have the opportunity to use my creative writing and marketing skills, in addition to, working as a national trainer for Light Concept Nails USA.
