I have travelled to 42 countries and have worked in five industries. In a nutshell, novelty excites me.Currently I am leading Rolling Arrays, one of Singapore's fastest growing companies. RA is at the forefront of using AI to ensure a smooth delivery and experience of business solutions to people.Earlier I was the Group CHRO for Daraz in the Alibaba Group managing all things people in one of the most challenging regions- South Asia. It helped me learn the finer details of e-commerce while testing my skills in providing not single, but multi-stakeholder oriented solutions.I was in the Apparel Manufacturing industry for close to 7 years. Having started off in HR, I moved to lead the Turnaround and Transformation office of the company under the Group COO. It was a career defining move where I honed my project management, influencing and negotiation skills. I subsequently led Sales, Marketing and Communications for a part of the organization's supply chain. It helped me gain a deep understanding of operations, planning and integrated supply chain management.I also had a career as a consultant and a lecturer where I trained or consulted over 10,000 mid-career professionals. It gave me tremendous exposure to various industries (and over 50 organizations), the kind of exposure that's difficult to obtain by merely being in the corporate world. This offered me a unique opportunity to become a marketer, trainer and a strategist.Journalism was my first love - I spent close to 9 years as a News Presenter, Reporter, Editor and finally an Editorial Head. My work was recognized by the US Department of State, which conferred me with The Edward Murrow Fellowship. Earlier, the Danish Government also offered me a state fellowship.I've always had a passion for public speaking, and I delivered an international TED talk at TEDx Secunderabad, India in October 2015. The talk was about my passion - farming.I'm not great at a lot of things, except dealing with people from different walks of life and flying the plane while fixing it. That's what I've done throughout my career - work with and through people while saying yes and then figuring things out.
