Development of Next Generation Core Banking System of Shinhan BankThis project is to integrate two banks' different computer systems into one as well as two banks’ different business systems soon after Shinhan Bank and Choheung Bank were merged. 3. Development of the Next Generation System of National Information & Credit Evaluation, Inc.National Information & Credit Evaluation, Inc. is the biggest credit information evaluation organization. It generates information on credit evaluation for individuals and companies and provides it to financial organizations. Its system was over-10-year old and therefore there was so much difficulty in maintenance. 4. Development of the Next Generation Core Banking System of Koram Bank (currently merged with CitiBank)The system for accounts had been developed in COBOL under IBM CICS environment. However, to reduce high maintenance & repair charges, they wanted to have a new system developed. Theproject was to re-develop a core banking system in C language under Unix environment.

My role was the same in this company through all of the projects.- My Major Duties :1) Design and develop system ,2) Implement administrator’s page to handle lots of systems and bulletin boards,3) Manage project schedule and report on the project, and4) Develop the common module and train the developers.5) Oracle 9i, Java (servlet), Apache-Jserv, Solaris 81. Development of EBPP System, National Financial Information SystemMinistry of Finance and Economy required National Financial Information System to manage national accounting transparently as a part of the project to embody e-government. I provided training to EBPP developers and managed their schedule. I personally developed the part that gives and receives messages to and from the servers of the banks all over the country which is the core business. TCP/IP communication server implemented in java had many technical difficulties in development but I successfully developed. 2. Development of Web Stock Trading System of Daehan Investment & SecuritiesI developed the system of sending and receiving messages from web server to stock server in thisproject. I developed parsing module which can assemble the messages sent and analyze themessages received to extract the appropriate value. 3. Development of Web Community System for Digital Chosun Daily NewspaperMany people make real-time access to the website of Chosun Daily, the biggest newspaper in Korea to read the paper. Chosun Daily wanted to embody the functions of bulletin board and community including clubs to induce more readers. As many people may make simultaneous access to a newspaper community at once, the matter of concern was how transactions could be dispersed. At that time, the bulletin boards were embodiedin CGI and therefore the system had had overload including excessive memory. I made new bulletin boards using Java.
