Automotive interior trim

Specialising in interior trim for the automotive sector, I would provide engineering support throughout the company to help proceed all projects, from development stages of various prototype build phases and design reviews, to production in a manner that is efficient, on time and complete.Main duties included:• Liaise closely with customers and suppliers, clearly communicating project requirements to ensure project deadlines are met in a timely manner, with the correct level of quality. • Evaluate injection mould tooling and quotations with the understanding of tooling feasibility and costs.• Simultaneous project management of various different build phases and requirements. This has resulted in great interpersonal and planning skills with key decision making. • Support development through early build phases to ensure manufactured parts are correct to the drawing and processes. • Maintain and control production issues by evaluation, up-issue of drawings, processes change requests and costs, to solve problems. • Dimensional analysis of substrates and parts using gauges and fixtures. Measurement of points / scans / creation of reports using a Faro-Arm and Faro software to analyse and process the results. • Management of a Stratasys Objet 30 Prime 3D printer. Produce monthly and quarterly cost reports reflecting usage and waste, support and advise on prototype model design, maintain and calibrate the system to ensure the printer is working at its optimum ability. • Material testing to prove either current or new substrates, adhesives, leather and processes are within specification. Test log with data and information maintained for evidence and comparisons.

The Parry Group specialised in fabricating products out of stainless steel, and I would work as a project engineer to develop and manage these bespoke projects. Main duties included:• Working within the R&D office to model bespoke products made out of sheet metal• Analyse issues with current products to development a fix or reduction in costs• Use sheet metal software to simulate machining and tools required • Apply LEAN manufacturing to new products
