Sunil is a seasoned Company Secretary and Legal Counsel with over 15 years of experience in corporate law compliance, contracting and dispute resolution. He is currently the General Manager - Legal & Company Secretary at SpiceJet, India's second-largest airline by domestic market share. He is also a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Delhi University, and an Executive Alumni of the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, one of the premier business schools in the country.As the General Manager - Legal & Company Secretary, Sunil is responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate laws and establishing sound corporate governance. He advises on all aspects of civil and commercial laws, including company law, securities laws, economic laws, labour laws, anti-trust laws, consumer protection laws, etc. He also assist in conducting board meetings, committee meetings and general meetings, and executes and advises on critical corporate transactions, such as fund raising, listing, takeover, merger and amalgamation, ESOPs, and business restructuring. Additionally, he drafts and vets commercial and general agreements and other legal documents, and represents the Company in various courts, tribunals, arbitration, and other judicial and quasi-judicial fora. He also serves as a Trustee of ESOP Trust of SpiceXpress and Logistics Private Limited, a subsidiary of SpiceJet that provides cargo and logistics services.Sunil is a self-motivated and hardworking professional with a result-oriented approach and a passion for excellence.
