As the academy Sports therapist for Northampton town football club I was a key member of the Sports Science & Medicine team. My primary duty was to look after the young academy players however I did have to partially cover the full time academy players aged 17-21 years; working closely with the Head of physiotherapy to continue to develop the department in line with the club’s philosophy. Reporting directly to the Head of Physiotherapy and the Head of Academy, this job gave me a fantastic insight to a professional team sports environment.
