Project Engineer
I worked with HiPC (High Performance Computing) team and was responsible for supporting SAN environment, unix based servers/services like DHCP, DNS, NIS, Proxy, Kickstart, Jumpstart and in-house clusters. I was also part of implementing new clusters and setting up GARUDA Grid across multiple cities in India. I also configured many open source applications which were used in monitoring and reporting of storage devices, servers, services, clusters and grid nodes. Responsibilities:* Installation and maintenance of medium to large scale clusters based on Unix O.S.* Installation and configuration of Grid middleware technologies.* Configuring Allocation and Accounting manager for clusters.* Configuring commercial as well as open source schedulers.* Configuring and managing Console Servers.* Configuring Monitoring tools for HiPC Systems and Unix servers.* NIS Management.* Installation and configuration of RHEL, AIX, Solaris.* Installation and Configuring of linux services like: a. Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol b. Network File System c. Auto File System d. KickStart and Jumpstart e. Network Information Service f. Domain Name Service* Familiar with Logical Volume Management.* Familiar with different RAID levels.* Involved in activities like kernel recomilation, cluster deployment tools etc.* Installtion of MPI libraries and other required tools.* Familiar with storage concepts.* Installation, configuration and Administration of Microsoft servers.* Troubleshooting and Documentation and planning of activities.* Troubleshooting in all above mentioned activities.
