It helped in establishing an Indian Organ Transplant Registry (www.transplantindia.com) under Indian Society of Organ Transplantation. This has helped in compiling all data on kidney transplants done in India and their outcome. The registry is first of its kind in Asia. Its quarterly Newsletter called 'Indian Transplant Newletter' is in its 18th year of publication and has the latest information on the transplant happenings in India.

First Indian surgeon to perform a successful kidney transplantation on HIV positive patient 4. First Indian Surgeon to perform a successful cadaver donation transplantation from snake bite death victim
