I worked as a full-time teaching assistant at the Department of Computer Science, National University of Singapore. My main teaching focus is on computer systems subjects, i.e. Cloud Computing, Operating Systems, Parallel Computing, Computer Systems Performance Analysis. I also have involved in teaching programming foundation courses in C and Python.

Thesis Title: Cost Performance of Scaling Applications on the CloudLeveraging the inherent resource scalability of cloud resources and applicationscalability of cloud applications, we propose fixed-cost-scaling on cloud. We investigatefixed-cost scaling under fixed-workload and fixed-time constraints using ameasurement-driven analytical modeling approach. We expose cost-performancePareto-optimal configurations and sweet spot configurations that can be used tominimize the cost and time of application execution on the cloud. Moreover, wepropose metrics for characterizing the cost-performance of cloud applications thatcan be used for efficient resource allocation.The project is supervised by A/P Teo Yong Meng.

Investigated the age-old challenge of detecting the presence of False Sharing, ahard-to-detect performance bug that occurs on multi-core and multi-processor computerswith processor-local caches executing multi-threaded applications. We utilizeddecision tree models trained with performance counter data from processors to detectprograms where false sharing is present.The project was supervised by Prof. Sanath Jayasena from University of Moratuwain collaboration with Prof. Saman Amarasinghe from Massachusetts Institute ofTechnology, USA.
