• Conducting market research in terms of products, supplier databases and risk mitigation to identify / track competitive pricing structures and risks involved• Establish and lead cross-functional teams to manage the development and implementation of the procurement category strategy and agree the strategy with director and internal departments• Identifying cost reduction opportunities through category management and spend analysis• Constantly engaged in development of savings opportunities and benchmarking of industry standards and practices to identify quick win opportunities• Engaging in RFX initiation process including RFI, RFP & RFQ and comparing / reviewing proposal content• Floating of RFQs and maintaining the prices quoted by the vendors• Evaluating suppliers through score carding and negotiate & co-ordinate with them / partners to get best quality and best price• Preparation of pre tender and tender documents in conjunction with key user departments and steered initiatives for cost savings• Evaluating proposals, bids, tenders documents and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors• Negotiating and selecting suitable service providers based on comparison of quotations and other criteria offered by different providers
