This includes the integration of a number of skills, including assessment design, data analysis, written and verbal communication, and leadership.
Coordinator For Assessment And Accreditation
My primary responsibility in this position was to oversee the assessment and accreditation process within the School of Education. This included the creation of the assessment system and ensuring alignment with the Unit's Conceptual Framework and professional standards, development and administration of assessment tools, collection and analysis of data, and construction of reports and presentations for several levels of stakeholders. Although I reported directly to the Dean of the School of Education, I worked closely with administrators across the campus, as well as the department chars, program coordinators, and faculty across the School of Education. The School of Education recently completed an Institutional Report for NCATE accreditation. As the Coordinator for Assessment and Accreditation, it was my responsibility to organize and direct the efforts of the SoE's 40+ faculty in this task, and to provide support to each writing group as needed. I also served as the Chair for the 5-member writing group focused on the assessment plan for the NCATE report.

In addition to my position as the Coordinator for Assessment and Accreditation, I temporarily worked as a Research Analyst in the Office of Institutional Research at SUNY New Paltz. This position provided me with the opportunity to learn new and extremely useful skills, including the use of Access and some introductory SQL programming through the University's Argos database system. In addition to completing specific data analysis requests for departments and administrators, I constructed and administered surveys, and compiled data for reporting to various third-party entities (e.g., U.S. News & World Reports) and state-mandated reporting systems (e.g., Title II reporting).
