Worked in Crash and Safety Department in following functions1. Restrains CAE (5 months)Understood different aspects of human safety (Active and Passive) in event of crash as well as the primary and secondary restraints system. Also got overview of different crash related standards and international regulations. Studied material card, properties, joints and number of parameters while working in LS DYNA environment. Evaluated complete injury analysis for fifth percentile dummy across all projects using OASYS suit (PRIMER, D3PLOT, T/His).2. Structural CAE (4 months)Worked on analysis of structural failure, understood absolute/incremental forming, plastic strain failure analysis, load deformation patterns, crash energy absorption zone. Worked on multiple correlation metric to develop Test-CAE correlation. 3. BIW and Pedestrian CAE (4 Month)Worked on validation of CAE Automation tools for all static and dynamic load cases of BIW and Pedestrian

Worked on project 'Optimization of Cooling fan duty and PTC heater performance in electric vehicle'In the former part of project, study of fan parameters/fan curve was done and two types of condenser fan (single large fan with shrouds and dual fan with shrouds) was modeled in SOLIDWORKS. Later the airflow over fans were analyzed in ANSYS FLUENT to reach the suitable type fan. Later, the fan was tested on Electric vehicle in controlled severe ambient condition to check its cooling performance, Noise and power consumption at different duty cycles.In the later part of project, to improve the vehicle range by controlling PTC heater on off time, different PTC logic was developed in MATLAB-SIMULINK. Multiple test data and results were used to reach the optimum logic.

Worked on project 'Design and Analysis of 20 kg class unmanned aerial vehicle' During the project we (myself along with team of 3 people) tried to understand different aspects of aircraft design. We studied the components of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles separately as well as understood the types of UAVs available in international market and its application Later we did thorough study on open source tool available for aircraft design and analysis. Finally we designed an indigenous UAV model and tested it for different parameters at different ambient condition to give a better alternative.
