- Lead Process Engineer for five Inside Battery Limits Units for Clean Fuels II (US $ 1.5 Billion project) representing Sasol Technology as part of the Managing Contractor team.- FEED experience during Clean Fuels II project.- Detail Design experience at an Engineering Contractor’s and Licencing office i.e. Linde Engineering in Munich, Germany- Evaluation and Design of various process equipment types eg pumps, heat exchangers, columns and drums.- Critical evaluation, approval and optimisation of control system design including review of Range Alarm and Trip lists, control and safeguarding philosophies and cause and effect diagrams. - Critical evaluation and approval of line, equipment, control valve and relief valve sizing- Strong background in Reforming technologies, particularly for Hydrogen or Syngas production including Steam Methane Reforming, Auto-Thermal Reforming and Gas Heated Heat Exchange Reforming- FEED, Detail Design, Commissioning and Start-up experience in Syngas and Hydrogen Plants- FEED experience in two separate Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) projects- Experience in Simulation packages include Aspen Simulation Engine, AFT Fathom/Arrow as well as being an advanced user of MS Office products.- Critical review, optimisation and approval of PFD, P&ID and MFD development and optimization- Extensive experience HAZOP, Process Hazard Analysis and Management Of Change (MOC) processes.- Strong background in plant troubleshooting and optimization and reliability improvement- Leadership skills as Process lead and Senior Process Engineer on various capital projects at Sasol - Commissioning and Start-up experience on two mega projects at Sasol (1-Octene Train 3 US $ 1 Billion and 17th Reformer (SMR) Project US $ 170 million)- Process support to medium and small capital projects as well as Engineering Management of Refinery shut-down projects.- Working with various licensors and engineering contractors (Fluor, Uhde, Axens, Dow, Linde).
