I have over 8 years of Human Resources experience. In my HR career, I have worked with onboarding, recruitment, orientations, benefits, terminations, payroll, progressive discipline, conflict resolution, coaching, training and development. I also have implemented change and new polices and procedures on an organizational change. I have worked in union and non-unitized workplaces. I have worked with company sizes ranging from 20-500 employees. I have worked on both small and big Human Resources teams. At OSI Maritime Systems, I was heavily involved in the recruitment and onboard process. I prepared, scheduled and attended interviews as well as conducted reference checks. For the onboarding process, I was in charge of preparing all new hires for their first week. I was in charge of benefits, such as processing them as well as reconciling all benefit payments for payroll. At Douglas College. I was in charge of processing all new hires using several databases while meeting the payroll deadlines. I set up employees with benefits through assigning eligible benefits and providing access to the online database. At Cellcom Wireless Evolution, I created and managed employee payroll, email, access, and training accounts. I oversaw the entire onboarding process involving verifying candidate’s IDs, onboarding documents, and creating new hire accounts. I processed employee changes such as transfers, promotion, demotions, terminations, and resignations. For employee concerns, I documented and advised managers regarding employee disciplinary action and attendance issues.From May- September 2017, I worked in KPU’s HR department. I was involved in the recruitment process. I Identified suitable candidates by assessing the required skills, knowledge, abilities, and experience. I successfully provided management suitable candidates to select by providing assistance of screening resumes, phone interviewing, in-person interviewing and reference checking. I also created an onboarding manual for employees based on researched best practices, identified organizational needs, and input from management.As of September 2017, I am a graduate of the BBA Human Resources Management program. I completed four co-op work terms from January 2016 - April 2017. During this time, I worked in various aspects of HR such as recruitment, health and safety, training and development, onboarding, benefits, process and project development.
