Nooie is San Francisco-based design team with a Shenzhen-based parent company. We are developing smart-home products for the US and European market. Released Work: -Nooie Cam Outdoor, shipped 10.2019-Nooie Cam Doorbell, shipped 06.2020-Nooie Cam Pro, shipped 11.2021We are a small team that functions like a startup, thus my role as a design lead touches many aspects of product development including: -Design research: lead definition specification and ecosystem of upcoming products through quantitative research, qualitative research, and focus groups. -Design Development: Responsible for design through entire development cycle: concept through 2D sketching, 3D CAD, appearance models, surfacing, and user testing.-Brand Strategy: Established Nooie’s form design language. Carried this language through to the next generation of products. -Project Management: developed and maintained schedules and milestones for both internal team and external partners.-Product Execution: Collaborated with internal & external engineering teams as well as suppliers to manufacture hardware and packaging.

I worked with a small team to develop a hybrid online and physical retail customerexperience. Developed concepts, storyboarded sequences, and worked on trialimplementation in actual retail environment.

Highlighted engagements include: Meta Augmented Reality Headset 3: -Collaborated with the in-house design and engineering teams to develop the 3rd generation of the AR Headset.-Development focused on technological integration, human factors, and optimization around the optical package. -Responsible for developing wearable headsets through both appearance and functional prototyping in multiple stages of fidelity. Target Innovation Lab:-Worked in-house on multiple projects with a shared goal to help the Target Corporation align itself with the changing physical and digital retail landscape. -Collaborated with the accelerator team to develop brands for specific target users and developed product lines under those newly defined brands. -Responsible for new product line ideation, developed concepts through feasibility testing, turned concepts into tangible 3D prototypes. -Collaborated closely with the internal marketing and sales teams and external engineering consultancy.

-Kenu is a mobile accessory company with an outdoors focus. -Contributed to early concepts exploration for mobile accessories such as Apple Watch, smartphone mount, and smartphone charging accessories. -Focused on the early concept development through 2D and 3D modeling and prototyping.

Released work: iGuys’ 2015. -I joined this company in the beginning of a design execution cycle. -Responsible for building tool-ready beautiful 3D surfaces, released ID and CMF specs to communicate with vendors, monitored ongoing manufacturing processes.-Collaborated with internal industrial designers, CMF designer, and engineers to help launch device cases for iPhone 6, 6+, and iPad Air 2.
