Over his 15-year capital markets career, Sunny Sajnani has closed billions of transactions throughout the entire capital stack including senior mortgages, mezzanine loans, participating debt, preferred equity and JV equity partnerships. He has expertise in all areas of real estate including multifamily, retail, office, industrial, hospitality, self-storage, and development land. Sunny joined Marcus & Millichap as part of the Metropolitan Capital Advisors (“MCA”) acquisition in 2020. While serving as principal and director at MCA, he closed several billion dollars’ worth of financing transactions and facilitated many large property sales. Sunny began his real estate career at Goldman Sachs’ commercial real estate investment and management arm specializing in structured finance.

Sunny Sajnani is a Senior Managing Director, Capital Markets with Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation with expertise in raising debt and equity capital for commercial real estate projects.

Sunny Sajnani is a Co-Founder and Partner of Tanenbaum Equity Partners, where his primary responsibilities include acquisitions, business development and negotiations. Mr. Sajnani oversees the underwriting and structuring of TEP’s potential investments, as well as the legal and compliance aspects of TEP.

Sunny Sajnani is a member of the Investment Committee and a Principal of StreetWealth Investments. Mr. Sajnani has invested a significant sum of equity capital on behalf of his family partnership into commercial real estate properties and operating companies. Mr. Sajnani’s investment portfolio is focused on diversity of property types and investment tranches, including common equity, preferred equity and mezzanine loans.

Mr. Sajnani is responsible for new client development and origination along with structuring and placing transactions on behalf of the firm's clients. Mr. Sajnani has completed structured real estate transactions throughout the entire capital stack including senior mortgages, mezzanine loans, participating debt, preferred equity and JV equity partnerships. He has expertise in all areas of real estate including multifamily, retail, office, industrial, hospitality and development land.In addition to real estate finance, Mr. Sajnani specializes in operational capital structures including alternative financing options such as sale leasebacks, development/working lines of credit, cash flow term loans and leasehold mortgages.
