Sunny Tripathy is a Canadian Indian-American screenwriter who paid his way through UCLA with day jobs that included working at Jamba Juice, teaching at a Yeshiva Gedolah, and modeling for Indian grocery stores— which is not a joke. He sold his first TV show to 20th CENTURY FOX out of college and recently sold a series with SONY TELEVISION and Will Arnett to AMAZON after a highly competitive bidding war. His foray into features started with selling an original comedy spec to TRISTAR with Ivan Reitman and Amie Karp and he is now writing features for SONY PICTURES ANIMATION, NETFLIX, DISNEY, and DREAMWORKS. In television, he also has projects in development at places like TITMOUSE and JAX MEDIA. Tripathy is represented by UTA, LICHTER GROSSMAN NICHOLS ADLER, and is a member of the Writers Guild of America.He is passionate about clean-eating and conservation, and is a co-founder of the food company MAMAS with his wife Sonia Sandha. The bootstrapped food business was a graduate of the TARGET ACCELERATOR and later became an AMAZON #1 NEW RELEASE.
