Conceptualised, designed and implemented a donor liaison software system to ensure consistency throughout the organisation in approaching donors.Obtained general funding framework agreements with key strategic donors and contributed to the maintenance of good donor relations. Devised and implemented a comprehensive strategy of enhancing ECMI’s external profile which resulted in the upgrade of existing outreach tools such as the web site, annual report and launch of new products such as an electronic newsletter, hard copy newsletter, press kits, hosting of special events.Analyzed and contributed to the development of all action oriented projects of the organization with special emphasis on the monitoring, impact assessment and budget component of the project proposals. Liaised at the Ministerial and Parliamentary level of host governments for the advancement of interethnic issues.Developed and implemented consistent administrative and financial procedures for all of ECMI’s regional operations. Supervised the establishment of new country offices and answered training needs of new and already established offices. Developed the Macedonia office into a regional hub providing administrative, financial, management and public information support to all field offices of ECMI. Registered the organization in Macedonia and set up a regional headquarters and five sub offices in the country (Contracting, Procurement, Budgeting, Financial monitoring and liaison with the national and local authorities). Recruited and systematically motivated three international and fifteen national staff members. Conducted on the job trainings for the team members.Led the implementation of the ECMI civil society project bringing together 70 local NGOs. Developed and implemented an umbrella grants program administering and monitoring 50—70 community projects each year. Developed and led trainings on programs covering areas of NGO Management and Development with a strong emphasis on ethics for the participating NGO Managers. Regularly networked with the political and administrative elite of the country to ensure productive implementation of this politically sensitive initiative. Developed relations with key local NGOs, who then became implementing partners of ECMI in Macedonia.Led the fundraising efforts for the entire operation. Within two years ensured a fifteen fold increase in the funding of the operation and diversification of the funding base. Liaised with bilateral and multilateral donors in and outside the country which resulted in ECMI being seen as a lead source of expertise on civil society issues in Macedonia. Conceptualized and supervised the implementation of all the information dissemination tools of the operation including the four web sites mentioned thus far.

Initiated and fostered relations with the donor community thus expanding the donor profile of the CRFMS from a uni- to a multi-donor portfolio. Developed and negotiated new projects and activities to UN, EU funding agencies, foundations and organizations within and outside Macedonia. Initiated and set up local, regional and international linkages with similar centers.
