Responsible for providing one-on-one mental health services to children, generally having emotional or mental disturbances, some who have previously been in an out of home treatment facility. I provide services in school, in the child's home or in the community. I work with the child's teachers, parents, counselors and BSC and other team members to implement the child's treatment plan and transfer skills to the child's primary caregivers.Trained in methods to effectively manage the behaviors of emotionally or mentally disturbed children, counsel youth/client with constant negative or reactive behaviors about the best ways to manage these behaviors. Implementation of skills, such as; conflict resolution, de-escalation techniques and crisis management, utilization of role-play techniques to provide children with a different perspective on how their behavior affects others and how to avoid triggers to negative behavior.Establish effective strategies and interventions to correspond directly with treatment plans.
