Handled raw data from Pyramid Meteorological Network of Ev-K2-CNR project and worked with updating NAST’s database utilizing packages in Python such as NumPy, Pandas, MetPy and SciPy. Compared gridded precipitation data from APHRODITE utilizing geophysical toolkits (such as nco, cdo) with ground level meteorological station data all over Nepal.Utilized visualization packages (such as matplotlib, ggplot) in generating results of comparison with APHRODITE and field-based data.Prepared detailed reports and disseminated the findings to scientific communities and local stakeholders.Handled administrative work of Planning and Evaluation Division of NAST.

Created multiple factsheets from thorough research and data analysis on ground water demand and supply, extraction and recharge inside Kathmandu Valley using interactive graphs and charts for public dissemination and awareness. Generated cartographic maps representing performed ground water analysis of Kathmandu Valley using tools such as ArcGIS and geo-visualization packages in R and Python. Assisted in the development of methodologies, timelines and proposals for multiple projects related to data analysis and management.

Carried field works in high altitude glacier regions in western and central Nepal utilizing field-based equipment such as dGPS, GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) and ice drillers in data collection.Analyzed raw data from Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) in carrying out mass-balance and energy-balance study of glaciers-at-risk.Developed and tested research hypothesis on glacial lake outburst flood modelling and assessment of its downstream impact for Master’s thesis work.

Project: Assessment of the Air Quality of the Kathmandu Valley using Bio-aerosolsCollected air samples and determined the baseline values of biological components in the ambient air of Kathmandu.Contributed data to aid in drafting one of the first industry- specific occupational health guidelines and standards related to biological contaminants in ambient air of vulnerable workplaces in Nepal.

Project: Waste Management through Reusing and RecyclingFacilitated to bridge gap between waste utilizing institutions by providing alternatives to appropriate potential market by designing ergonomically viable products.Introduced tire gardening by reusing waste tires in schools of Kathmandu and Pokhara to aware and establish a culture of recycling, reusing and reducing waste to students. Promoted recycled paper pencils to academic institutions and organizations to encourage creative use of papers.Partnered with green organizations, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions and small businesses to raise awareness about waste management.
