Synthesized and characterized a series of copolymers with 3,3’-biscarbazole and oxadiazole units as triplet host emitters as well as having charge injection and charge transport properties.• Training and mentoring master’s students. • Worked in Prof. Tom Brown’s group synthesizing novel fluorescence-based real-time PCR method for the identification of mutations and single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the human genome. • • Synthesised derivatives of triazacyclononane-containing monomers and their Ni complexes to provide the platform for a range of technologies for enabling the reversible and specific attachment of proteins to synthetic oligonucleotides using His-tag technique. • Also worked on the synthesis of a novel long-wavelength fluorescence quencher based on the 1-((3-hydroxypropyl)amino)-4-hydroxy-anthraquinone HAQ chromophore as an alternative to radiolabels in DNA probes and primers. These probes are also suitable for use in techniques that include amplification of the target DNA.

• Awarded Summer Research Fellowship (Teachers)-2002 by Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore to carry out research with Prof. Uday Maitra at IISc, Bangalore from 1 May 2002 to 7 June 2002 on “Novel [Tris (hydroxymethyl) amino methane] derived Organogelators”. Only 20 teachers from all over India were selected for this fellowship. • Awarded Summer Research Fellowship (Teachers)-2003 by Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore to carry out research with Prof. Uday Maitra at IISc, Bangalore from 22 April 2003 to 20 May 2003 on “ Bile acid-based water-soluble Dendrites-Synthesis and Application”. I was one of the 35 teachers selected from all over India for this fellowship.

• Worked in Prof. Yannick Valleè’s group on asymmetric synthesis of physiologically active natural product. Studied the reactivity of vinylic organozirconium and organozinc species as a part of synthesis of chiral natural product PM-94128 (an antitumour agent obtained from Bacillus species). Applied various analytical methods and NMR facilities extensively for B-9 NMR and Zn compounds NMR for mechanistic studies.• Writing publications and paper presentations at international conferences.
