Facilitated up to eight classes a week utilizing a national curriculum, worked to develop an educational scaffolding system for ELL students at varying levels to modify the curriculum and make it more accessible, designed and hosted monthly curricular events, worked one on one with students and mentors offering ‘pair support’ to address any individualized social and external affects to the pair relationship. Worked closely with co-teachers and administration to maintain consistency with program implementation. Worked as ‘grade team leader’ designing the agenda and communicating directives to program managers of the expectations of the NYC 12th grade team. In my two-year stint as Senior Program Manager I offered support to Annie Forman in the NYC Partnerships department, cataloging potential partner sites to acquire as well as sitting in on internal meetings to hone my understanding of the Partnerships Language used organizationally. ‘Partner Site Lead’ as operations response; managed supply stock for events, updated administration with data reports to clarify consistency in implementation, trained co-teachers with preferred classroom etiquette to uphold our organizational standard. This position has added more agency to work with the ELL professionals at the partner site to improve the scaffolding and make our curriculum more accessible. Acted as leadership in the ‘English Language Learners Taskforce’; proactively changing accessibility to the iMentor programmatic materials. I Created a student internship that successfully translated curricular assessments, word glossaries, into Spanish, Arabic, and Chinese, and created a professional shadowing space for student learning.
