I'm the Project Director/Music Coordinator for Your Move MKE, a non-profit that focuses on community-driven hip hop events. the organization is geared towards helping others through the negative effects of poverty; being from an impoverished area myself, there's not really a lot of resources here. I hope to change that by truly connecting with ourselves, others and our communities, I feel that we can prosper together. My responsibilities as Project Director/Music Coordinator is providing and coordinating the music at each event as well as coming up with ideas and improvements for programs. Having been a producer/emcee for over 20 years, I'm well-acquainted with the art of expressing myself; and looking forward to helping others do the same. The hip hop chess club, our flagship program, is a monthly gathering where kids, teenagers and adults learn how to play chess, while listening (and sometimes rapping) to hip hop beats. We teach higher level thinking skills through the game of chess, as well as self-expression through the elements of hip hop, such as emceeing, producing, breakdancing, graffiti art, beatboxing, fashion and knowledge.

The ALC is a non-profit organization program that helps adults obtain their GEDs; we're located on the northside of Milwaukee in an area that's been severely underrepresented in all ways. Part of my responsibility there is to connect students with community resources and support.
