I gained experience in the polish area of Freescale Semiconductor at Oak Hill. I quickly became the most popular contingent worker they have ever worked with. Having over eight years experience in the field, my training was effortless.

I was a temporary employee with Balance Staffing at Spansion. I learned the Polish processes of semiconductor manufacturing. I operated the scrubbers, the sinks, the copper platers, and annealing furnaces and enjoyed gaining knowledge and experience of the many steps involved with the process.

I gained additional experience in the semiconductor manufacturing environment. My responsibilities were executing non-destructive wire-bond testing on chip assemblies.

Processed wafers in the final stages of testing on various tool-sets at extreme temperatures (-25C to 95C). Aided in the transition from 200mm to 300mm production.

I was exposed to the semiconductor manufacturing process in the diffusion stage. I was responsible for moving cassettes of wafers from various tool-sets and furnaces to other areas within a specified queue time. I submitted a "Bright Idea" to Freescale that was accepted and implemented into their processes.

I was responsible for learning each step of the manufacturing computers and eventually designated as a "floater". As a floater, I would assist the bottlenecked areas to maximize the flow of the line. In 1997 the company converted to a cellular build cycle process to maximize productivity and I was at the forefront of this design implementation, having designed a flow-rack for the hood preparation area. I was recognized and awarded for this design.
