Perform routine (day-to-day) inspections and answer service calls involving troubleshooting and periodic minor installs throughout the Houston area on (special clean-agent gas) fire suppression/detection systems and/or equipment.

Responsible for inspecting incoming parts and performing First Article inspections to verify that they are in compliance with design requirements and FAA regulations, along with documenting results to provide a basis for traceability. Inspected parts for compliance with blueprints, specifications and standards and reviewed supplier data and certification packages for conformance to applicable requirements and requested corrections as needed. Assigned work and provided instruction to personnel in my area of responsibility and provided expertise in the day to day departmental activities including, but not limited to, assisting departmental personnel in such areas as new designs, drawings, specifications and on-going technical issues.

I am very proficient with the complete tear-down and rebuilding of the T64-GE-413, 416, 416A and 419 model engines of the CH53D and CH53E type helicopters. I have accumulated over 20,000 man hours building and repairing these particular engines in shops from Okinawa, Japan to Al Asad and Al Taqadum, Iraq and have also troubleshot and performed corrective actions on board such aircraft to expedite the turn around process. While being deployed and assigned to the aircraft carriers USS Saipan and USS Kearsarge, I, along with fellow Marines and Sailors, repaired and reinstated a combined total of more than fifteen CH53D and CH53E helicopters in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II. While attached to Marine Aircraft Group (MAG-36), Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 36 (MALS-36), Okinawa, Japan, I assisted in the building and passing of more than one hundred and fifty engines in the thirteen months spent on island, totaling seven thousand, eight hundred man hours.
