With over 24 years of experience in GST, Excise, Taxation, and Accounting, I am a seasoned leader in the field of indirect tax compliance and management. I currently head the GST and indirect tax function at Nipro Medical India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Nipro Corporation, Japan, a global leader in medical devices and pharmaceuticals.In this role, I am responsible for monitoring, coordinating, preparing, and scrutinizing monthly and annual GST returns, finalizing sales tax assessments, and replying to various show cause notices of GST and central excise. I also assist the central tax and excise department team in conducting smooth excise audits and facilitate imports clearance from Indian ports. Additionally, I leverage my expertise in accounting and financial reporting to handle accounts payable and receivable, and liaise with insurance companies, banks, and other external agencies. My mission is to ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, and to optimize the tax benefits and incentives for the company.
