As an Sr. Engineer (Backup Administrator) at Havells India Limited, Noida, I am responsible for managing and maintaining the backup systems of the organization. My key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Backup and Recovery: I have hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup version 9.0.0.1,10.0.0.1,10.2 & 10.3.0.1 as well Veeam Backup and Replication. I schedule database backup for the database mount points to be backed-up as per the backup time frame. I regularly validate backup jobs, restore, recover, and test data from the backup system as required, ensure backups are run to schedule and retention is met, and maintain an audit trail of backups and restores. In addition, I perform file restore operations as required, make Backup Report for Every Day, and configure SLP (Storage life cycle policies).Customer Support and Troubleshooting: I have resolved escalated customer issues and manage escalation further to internal support. I monitor daily NetBackup activity and reporting to proactively avoid issues, troubleshoot and resolve missed and failed NetBackup backups, update NetBackup policies and procedures, have good skills on performance optimization, and possess advanced trouble-shooting skills to identify the severity of the issue. I have the ability to resolve issues quickly to account/customer satisfaction and prepare RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to provide operational support.MIS Reporting: I prepare the report of backup & restore and maintain the backup systems. I also have experience in creating user & group id's, providing security through the use of passwords, managing the users on the system, and maintenance of the Linux file system.
