- Led team of 5 engineers and collaborated across 3 domains to define technical design for frauds, risk, scalability and SLA to build Saas marketplace platform using RESTful APIs and offering features like bill payments, mobile recharges, customized deals, serving > 10 M customers in SE Asia.- Created an in-house customized workflow engine using Kafka as a replacement of AWS step function to remove system scalability bottlenecks and optimize costs, increasing system capacity by 80x, reducing latency by 200 ms along with reducing service costs by 30%.- Migrated existing monolithic service to micro-services to make the consumer facing service scalable, fault-tolerant.- Launched master-slave architecture in MYSQL to scale out the DB reads. Created a dynamic configuration manager to render different user input forms for different billpay providers reducing onboarding time to 1 day.- Built a secure and automated online platform to choose relevant insurance and sign up with a single click resulting in 2.15M MAUs. Introduced feature flag control framework in production code deliveries and also integrated Experimentation platform to control the product rollout based on treatment group and segmentation.- Designed an integration framework with standardized API contract to reduce external insurer onboarding time to 2 weeks.- Launched faster delivery for a premium delivery fee which optimized routing and capacity planning to meet delivery SLA’s, and reduced the delays to <1% orders.- Automated infrastructure using terraform and Kubernetes, eliminating manual validation (12% error reduction) in deployments.

PayU is India's leading payment gateway and Fin-tech platform ● Designed, developed, scaled and maintained an autonomous rule engine based on REST API to reduce PayU merchant onboarding time from 3 days to 2 hours including registration, bank verification, fraud detection increasing merchant signups by 38%.● Led and coached a team of 4 engineers to deliver Coupon service, notification system within 8 weeks.
