Surender holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK), India. During PhD, he developed solutions to improve the Quality of Services of the Internet of Things (IoT) for applications like Smart Cities, E-Health, Smart Agriculture, Intelligent Transportation and Industries. Mainly, he explored Wireless Sensor Networks, Network Management, Energy-Efficient algorithm developments, Low-latency and High-reliability, Data management, Time-varying IoT networks, Time-series data, and Multi-sensor data fusion.Prior to joining Kongsberg Digital, he was an AI researcher at Smart Innovation Norway (SIN) and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Agder in Norway, where he extensively explored various Data Science and Artificial Intelligence tools with a particular focus on Deep Learning, Deep Reinforcement Learning, and Federated Learning to develop Intelligent IoT applications across several domains.In his capacity as a Data Scientist, he is currently developing Artificial Intelligence solutions for Renewable Energy Markets, Smart Grids, and Utilities to support sustainable development.
